What is PromptCam?

PromptCam is an iOS app for recording videos with a built-in teleprompter. You can create scripts, adjust the scrolling speed, customize text size and color, and record videos while reading your script.

Why does PromptCam need camera access?

Camera access is required so you can record videos inside the app.

Why does PromptCam need microphone access?

Microphone access is required to record your voice while capturing video.

Why does PromptCam need Photos access?

Photos access is used to save your recorded videos to your photo library.

Are my recorded videos uploaded?

No. PromptCam does not upload your recorded videos to our server. Videos are saved locally to your device or photo library.

How does AI script generation work?

When you use AI script generation, the topic or text you enter may be sent to an AI service provider to generate script content. Please review AI-generated content before using it.

Does PromptCam require an account?

No. The MVP version of PromptCam does not require account registration.

How do I delete my local data?

You can delete scripts inside the app. You can also remove app data by deleting PromptCam from your device. Videos saved to Photos can be deleted from the Photos app.

The app cannot access my camera or microphone. What should I do?

Open iOS Settings, find PromptCam, and make sure Camera and Microphone permissions are enabled.

My video was not saved. What should I check?

Please make sure Photos access is allowed, your device has enough storage, and the recording was not interrupted before completion.
